Protect your identity
- Use a dedicated email address for dating platforms. It keeps your main inbox clean and makes it obvious where a leak came from.
- Do not reuse a password you use anywhere else. A password manager makes this painless.
- Turn on two-factor authentication if the platform offers it.
- Keep your surname, employer, home area and daily routine out of your profile and out of early conversations.
- Check your profile photos for background details that give away where you live or work.
Warning signs in conversation
The patterns below come up again and again across every platform. One on its own is not proof of anything; two or three together is a reason to stop.
- Rushing off-platform. Someone who insists on moving to a private app within minutes is avoiding the platform's moderation and reporting tools.
- Any request for money. Emergencies, travel costs, customs fees, medical bills, "just a gift card". No exceptions — not once, not a small amount.
- Investment or crypto talk. A romantic contact who steers toward a trading platform is running a scam with a very high success rate.
- Refusing live video. Persistent excuses over weeks, combined with photos that look professionally shot, suggests the person is not who they claim.
- Intensity far too fast. Declarations of love from a stranger within days is a manipulation technique, not a compliment.
- Pressure for intimate images. These are used for extortion. Once sent, you have no control over them.
- Links you did not ask for. Verification sites, "my other profile", age-check pages — these harvest card details.
If you meet in person
- Meet somewhere public and busy for the first few times. Daytime is better.
- Tell a friend where you are going, who with, and when you expect to be back. Share your live location.
- Arrange your own transport, both ways. Do not be dependent on someone you just met for a lift home.
- Watch your drink being poured and keep it with you.
- Leave whenever you want. You owe no explanation to anyone.
Money and payments
VibeSend never takes a payment. If any page claiming to be us asks for card details, it is not us — close it and report it.
On partner platforms: read what a subscription actually includes, check whether it renews automatically, and find the cancellation route before you pay, not after. Keep the receipt.
Reporting problems
Report abusive members, fake profiles, scams and harassment to the platform where it happened. They hold the account records, the message history and the ability to ban. Every platform we reference has in-app reporting and a support contact.
If you believe a crime has occurred — extortion, fraud, threats, or any content involving a minor — contact your local police or national reporting body immediately. Preserve screenshots, usernames and timestamps before you block.
